The purpose of this course is to firstly consider the extent to which temperaments were calculated using Astrology and then to compare three different systems for calculating temperament. Students will also examine how temperament determination can be used to evaluate lifestyle considerations and remedy choices.

2. Examine the nature of decumbiture charts.
3. Teach traditional rules for medical choices, both surgical and non-surgical choices.

The purpose of this course is to examine the ways in which herbs and stones are selected based on the astrological and humoral properties of the condition and the proposed remedy. Medical sources and their variations in regencies on medical topics are also examined. Much of the variation is due to differences in treatment for sympathy and antipathy, but what can we say about the rest? This will be both a theoretical and practical course.

There is a lot you can learn about herbs by doing experiments in your kitchen. In this course, two non-poisonous plants will be selected for learning. Their rulerships and any variations between authors will be studied. How the plant was used historically will be investigated, and then good and bad times will be chosen to take the plant for a specific purpose. The results will be reported.

Ptolemy presented a method for calculating life span. But then, many other authors did it too. What can we learn from these methods? Students will examine different methods using the same graph example to evaluate the methods and decide if they are truly predictive now, and even if they ever were. What is this thing called life expectancy and how predestined is it?

The study of patterns of epidemics and plagues was part of both mundane and medical Astrology. We will examine this history, along with related ideas from astro-meteorology, to provide a prediction mechanism for future times when disease problems are focused at the societal level.

The biggest challenge in working with clients with their letters is that very few people have a "pure" type of temperament. It turns out that Hippocrates understood this complex problem and put forward ideas on how to work with it. We will examine his theories and see how we can still apply them in a modern world.
